we truly enjoyed this facility and would have extended the stay. we felt safe in this absolutely charming and nice hotel. delicious and amazing breakfast, best ever had, with huge homemade warm muffins and yoghurt, for instance. the location was great and beautiful, so close to most shops, beaches and trails and shops, restaurants, and the cliff sides, in a pretty nice area.

What a very special stay, no complains at all. Homely and absolutely charming hotel in a magnificent area, close to restaurants and bars. Wonderful, incredible room with local artwork, and hospitable staff. A lot of great options for meal. Excellent service everywhere. Everything amazing. Excellent and ideal location, close to all attractions. Easy to get to and close to the beach.

perfect spot for exploring mendocino's charm and nature

I stayed for one night in a cozy double room with a garden view, and I loved that it was just a few steps away from the beautiful Mendocino Headlands State Park and the quaint shops and cafes in town, making my city strolls enjoyable.

For the price, there should be an ice maker on site and mini fridges in the rooms, especially for travelers on the coast with coolers filled with essentials. The bathroom in the Beautiful Double Room with Balcony felt cramped, lacking sufficient outlets, which can be inconvenient for charging devices. The carpet needed a thorough cleaning, and there were a few bugs lurking around, which detracted from the cleanliness you expect in a stay.

great stay with minor quirks

We enjoyed our four nights in the Double Room with Sea View. The breakfasts delivered to our room each morning were excellent! The picturesque garden added to the charm, offering a lovely view every time we stepped outside. The local bakeries near the inn were also good.

Location is perfect for walking to the beach. The bathroom was tiny with low water pressure. Breakfast was excellent, served directly to your room.

Perfect Romantic Getaway with Amazing Views

The views from Lookout #1 were fine. The comfortable bed with soft sheets, and the breakfast delivery was a lovely touch. Don't miss the sunset walk on the Headlands trail-it was magical!

The good, the bad, and the unexpected

The flower-filled gardens were a serene escape, and the daily breakfasts were amazing. Ian and Kim were charming hosts, full of helpful tips about the area. Watch out for the room size, though-some are a bit snug. A cozy gem in a fantastic location!

We had an very nice time exploring the charming garden and relaxing by the cozy fire pit. The views were amazing, and the location made it easy to stroll to the coast. Perfect spot for a romantic escape! We really enjoyed the privacy of "The Shed". It reminded me of our own little nook to unwind together.

Mendocino's grub scene is a treasure hunt! The nearby Garden Bakery serves up killer pastries, and MacCallum House Restaurant is perfect for a cozy dinner. Plus, the Family Bungalow we snagged had a sweet private entry through the garden, just steps from the ocean. Can't beat that vibe!

Now, let's spill the tea-The Sea Gull Inn is a bit vintage, so lower your expectations for modern comforts. The bathroom was snug, and there were zero outlets. Still, everything had a quaint charm, made it shine.
